February 17, 2014 - EARTH - The fast-moving river of air that controls weather over Northern Europe and North America is undergoing a dramatic shift that could lead to harsher winters.

The Northern Hemisphere's jet stream is a fast-moving belt of westerly winds that traverses the lower layers
of the atmosphere. Experts believe it is taking a meandering path causing weather patterns to get 'stuck'.

Scientists believe the jet stream which girdles Earth is increasingly taken a longer, meandering path causing weather patterns to become ‘stuck’.

This could result in longer and harsher winters over North America and northern Europe, according to researchers in Chicago.

 The jet stream is a ribbon of high altitude, high-speed wind in northern latitudes that blows from west to east.

It is formed when the cold Arctic air clashes with warmer air from further south. The greater the difference in temperature, the faster the jet stream moves.

According to Jennifer Francis, a climate expert at Rutgers University, the Arctic air has warmed in recent years as a result of melting polar ice caps.

This means there is now less of a difference in temperatures when it hits air from lower latitudes.

‘The jet stream is a very fast moving river of air over our head,’ she said on Saturday at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

‘But over the past two decades the jet stream has weakened. This is something we can measure,’ she said.

As a result, instead of circling the Earth in the far north, the jet stream has begun to meander, like a river heading off course.

This has brought chilly Arctic weather further south than normal and warmer temperatures north. Perhaps most disturbingly, it remains in place for longer periods of time.

The U.S. is currently enduring an especially bitter winter, with the midwestern and southern states experiencing unusually low temperatures.

In contrast, far northern regions like Alaska are going through an unusually warm winter this year.

EXPERT CLAIMS GLOBAL WARMING DID NOT CAUSE RECENT STORMS
One of the Met Office’s senior experts claims there is no link between global warming and the storms that have battered U.S. and the UK.

Mat Collins, a professor in climate systems at Exeter University, said the storms have been driven by the jet stream  which has been ‘stuck’ further south than usual.

Professor Collins said: ‘There is no evidence that global warming can cause the jet stream to get stuck in the way it has this winter. If this is due to climate change, it is outside our knowledge.’

Professor Collins is also a senior adviser for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). His statement appears to contradict Met Office chief scientist Dame Julia Slingo.

Last weekend, she said ‘all  the evidence suggests that climate change has a role to  play’ in the storms.

Professor Collins made clear that he believes it is likely global warming could lead to higher rainfall totals, because a warmer atmosphere can hold more water. But he said this has nothing to do with the storm conveyor belt.

This suggests ‘that weather patterns are changing,’ Professor Francis said. ‘We can expect more of the same and we can expect it to happen more frequently.’

Temperatures in the Arctic have been rising ‘two to three times faster than the rest of the planet,’ said James Overland, a weather expert with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

 Professor Francis added that it is premature to blame humans for these changes.

‘Our data to look at this effect is very short and so it is hard to get very clear signal,’ she said.

‘But as we have more data I do think we will start to see the influence of climate change.’

The meandering jet steam phenomenon, sometimes called ‘Santa's Revenge’, remains a controversial idea.

‘There is evidence for and against it,’ said Mark Serreze, director of the National Snowland Ice Data Centre in Boulder, Colorado.

But he said rising Arctic temperatures are directly linked to melting ice caps.

‘The sea ice cover acts as a lid which separates the ocean from a colder atmosphere,’ Mr Serreze told the conference.

But if the lid is removed, then warmth contained in the water rises into the atmosphere.

This warming trend and the shifting jet stream will have a dire impact on agriculture, especially in the farm-rich middle-latitudes in the U.S..

‘We are going to see changes in patterns of precipitation, of temperatures that might be linked to what is going on in the far north,’ said Mr Serreze.

The main impact on agriculture and livestock will not come from small temperature changes, but rather from temperature extremes and the weather patterns that hold them in place for longer periods of time. - Daily Mail.

Moral of the story---we shouldn't allow the most dangerous thing on earth (nuclear power plants and nuclear waste) to exist on our HOME PLANET, when we know for a fact that our home planet is not stable, and in fact is getting more unstable.

I first noticed the magnetic pole shift around 2006, being a pilot and a solar engineer I often took measurements, and for a while nothing was lining up the way it used to, so I tried a few different compasses.   I thought it strange, and I thought it stranger that no one was talking about it.

I wouldn't say this was the "kick off" to my impression that things were getting wacky in the world.   Maybe the first was the doubling of property values in less than 2 years that let me get out from an underwater property to a nice profit.

But lets put it this way....the "experts" are often just making stuff up, to get their grant money and help their universities get federal funding.

NASA is downplaying magnetic shift saying "it happens all the time", as are  other parrots of the "don't panic the sheep" cartel.   These things are suspicious.   The experts can all justify their actions by rationalizing that avoiding panic is better than dealing with what is going to happen anyway.

Classic writing say that a north south magnetic pole shift happens every 320,000 years or so with wide variations, and that the last one was 700,000 years ago.

However, some pretty credible data cross correlated from the Black Sea, the Laschamp event in the Massif Central, and Greenland data, and shows a "rapid" 250 year complete pole shift, around 41,000 years ago, followed by a european super volcano around 39,500 years ago.

And let me throw this in....what about that really cool rise of Cro-Magnon man and epic cave paintings around 35,000 to 39,000?     Indeed, magnetic pole shift appears to occurs with a lessening of overall magnetic field, which allows more cosmic radiation in to the home planet, which allows for more DNA damage and the occasionally successful mutation that works better.    Saber toothed tigers probably kept the cancer rates in check pretty well.

We are in a period of very fast movement of the magnetic pole, and it appears the north pole has the itchy feet and the south pole is more stable.

But nothing to worry about....NASA says the pole flips "all the time", and other experts state that there is no evidence that a pole flip was harmful in the past (maybe check the IPhone data records), and that most people wouldn't even notice a pole flip.    Yeah, very reassuring, why don't you guy at least focus on detecting these 153,000 asteroids like the one that hit the earth in April 2012.    An amateur astronomer found it just days before it hit.

Many people are wondering how the predictions of Edgar Cayce are related to 2012. Signs of a Pole Shift – Fall 2012 Update

It has only been just over a year that I became convinced that we are in the throws of a polar shift.

Before we begin, I’d like to thank Suspicious Observers for providing this information.  In fact he has covered most of this information on his videos in short format, but I would like to break it down a bit more for you.

Signs in the Stars

My latest research has been focusing on the Electric Universe theory. This states that the universe is flowing with electrical forces and that all planets are connected.

While I am still very new to this information, I can see connections to my previous work in many aspects of the Electric Universe theories. It is with this theory that I believe the planets, sun and entire universe are connected through natural forces.   These forces are constantly in a state of flux, and they are most likely the cause of what is happening to our planet.

As we look out into the universe we can see some major changes taking place.   A prime example is that of Jupiter. In 2007 astronomers found that the large storm known as “The Red Dot”, has been shrinking and a new smaller spots had appeared.

The Red Dot had been in existence on Jupiter for at least 182 years (possibly as long as 347 years). Over the last few years, the smaller red spot storms have grown dramatically signalling that something is indeed happening on Jupiter.

Another strange sign is how bright Jupiter is in the morning sky since about 2005.

I began to monitor this phenomena while walking home from work in the early morning during the winter of 2005. Around 2am in January, I would see the bright star off in the distance.  At first I believed it was Planet X, but after researching this phenomena, I would find that these bright stars where actually Jupiter and Venus.

As time moved on I would begin to notice that the planets I had been observing were getting significantly brighter.

This summer I again had the chance to do some night shifts (I had changed jobs in 2009). As mid August rolled around I made sure to take a bit of a walk around 4am to check on my glowing planets.

As Jupiter rose over the horizon being chased by Venus, I was awe-struck at how bright they have become. My only conclusion thus far is the brightness is due to changes in our upper atmosphere.  Well, unless the planets are getting closer… lets hope that isn’t the case.

Signs in the Sky

In August of 2010 I seen my very first funnel cloud. As I grabbed my cell phone and turned on the camera, I managed to take the following video of a funnel cloud raging over my head.

While it isn’t unheard of to have tornadoes in the sub-arctic, we actually had multiple sightings over a 6 week period.   Here are some pictures of tornadoes touching down towards the end of July.

Within 5 months of this event we had the reports of mass bird and fish deaths in Arkansas.   Just 3 months after that we had the Japan quake which seemed to set in motion a series of catastrophic events.

It was just after the Japan quake that I began to theorize that we were indeed trapped in the throws of a pole shift.

The Wondering Pole

Being so close to the North Pole, we have a large population of Inuit.  Their entire society has only been living a “western” lifestyle for less than 50 years.

This gave me an advantage that most of you will not have.  I was able to sit down and speak directly to Inuit elders about climate change, wondering poles and strange animal behavior and death.

As I sat to have coffee with an Inuit hunter in his late 60′s, he informed me that his cousin had been involved in a film project which documents the Inuit claim that the sun and stars are out of place.  Below is a clip from the documentary (The full film can be found here!)

Armed with circumstantial evidence from my own observations and that of the Inuit, I started to look into actual scientific data.

The records for the North Pole location show a long history of movement.  Well, that was until about 2000 when the pole movements started to accelerate.

Between 2000 and 2010 the pole moved more than it had between 1960 and 2000. It was quickly becoming clear that this pole shift was not only a reality, but was accelerating as time went on.

As the pole shifts more the stranger the weather and natural events become across the planet, leaving no doubt in my mind that we are indeed in the midst of a massive pole shift, and not one that will take “thousands of years” as mainstream science preaches.

Conclusion

The work you see above is part of the research for my upcoming documentary on earth changes.  It seems the more I dig, the more evidence I find confirming that there is indeed a pole shift happening.

The real question is how long will it take?   We are starting to find evidence that the pole shifts much faster than originally believed, though it still shows that this may take 100′s of years to complete.

With the changes I’m seeing right before my very eyes, I doubt this hypothesis is correct.
