FIRE IN THE SKY: "It Was Larger Than Any Meteor I Have Ever Seen" - Bright "Fireball" Seen In The Skies Over Tennessee And Alabama!

August 05, 2013 - UNITED STATES - There were reports of a bright fireball late on Sunday night and Monday in Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. A number of unconfirmed reports were posted on the American Meteor Society website

File illustration.

"This was so very exciting for me. The colors were beautiful," wrote one user, Liz W., from Nashville, Tenn.

Another person from Oakland, Tenn., wrote that the fireball was "low moving, passed behind cloud bank and glow could be seen through clouds."

"The fire trail was a slender taper going from origin to point within the spacing of nine of the original diameter ... the [colors] were sharp:white core, moss green outside it, traces of blue.," wrote another.

"It almost looked like this fireball was going to make impact," another wrote.

The fireball sighting coincide with the Perseid meteor shower, which starts in mid-July to late August each year. It is unclear if the "fireballs" that people saw in the southeastern U.S. had to do with the Perseids.

"It was larger than any meteor I have ever seen," wrote one person.

On Twitter, at least one person said they heard a "loud boom."

"Widespread reports tonight of bright fireball in the sky over TN, AL some hearing loud boom," wrote NewsBreaker. - TET.

'Comet of the Century' fizzling

Via stuff.co.nz, 30 July 2013 - Astronomers slated to meet this week to discuss observing plans for Comet Ison may not have much to talk about. The so-called ''Comet of the Century'' may already have fizzled out.
Ison comet
The Ison comet is photographed here by the Hubble Space Telescope as it races through space.

''The future of comet Ison does not look bright,'' astronomer Ignacio Ferrin, with the University of Antioquia in Colombia, said in a statement.

Ferrin's calculations show the comet, which is currently moving toward the Sun at 26km per second, has not brightened since mid-January. That may be because the comet is already out of ice particles in its body, which melt as the comet moves closer to the Sun, creating a long, bright tail.

Another theory is that the comet is covered in a layer of silicate dust that snuffs out water vapor and other gases that brighten the comet.

''Comet ISON has been on a standstill for more than 132 days... a rather puzzling feat,'' Ferrin wrote in a paper submitted to the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society and posted online at the archival site arXiv.org.

The comet, named Ison for the International Scientific Optical Network that made its discovery, was found in September 2012 by two amateur Russian astronomers.

It is due to pass about 1.2 million km from the Sun on November 28.

The relatively close pass was expected to create a massive tail that some scientists predict will be visible even in daylight.

If it survives, that is. At that distance, the comet would reach temperatures of about 2700 degrees Celsius - hot enough to melt lead. It may also be pulled apart by the Sun's gravity.

Scientists believe the comet hails from the Oort Cloud, a cluster of icy rocks that circle the Sun about 50,000 times farther away than Earth's orbit.

Calculations show Comet Ison is making its first - and possibly last - voyage into the inner solar system.

Rabies Outbreak After Meteor Strike In Chelyabinsk, Russia: State Of Emergency Declared; Rabies Outbreak Across World Linked To ‘Vile Stars’?

A very strange rabies outbreak in Chelyabinsk, Russia has led to a 'State of Emergency' being declared due to the sudden widespread outbreak of rabies, this coming weeks after a meteor also struck the area. Strangely enough, rabies is now spreading across the world as shared further below in this story with credit to WoodyMcWood from GLP.

Is this rabies outbreak due to the recent meteor? According to this story from the Journal of Cosmology, throughout history disease outbreaks of "near-culling" and "extinction-level" proportions have been brought upon the Earth by passing interplanetary fragments and comets, or 'vile stars'. The excellent historical BBC video "The Comet's Tale" below.

"All ancient civilizations, without exception, have looked upon comets with a sense of trepidation and awe.  Comets were considered to be harbingers of doom, disease, and death, infecting men with a blood lust to war, contaminating crops, and dispersing disease and plague (Hippocrates 1900; Olson and Pasachoff 1999)."

For much of history comets have been associated with death and disease. There is increasing evidence that life on Earth originated in comets and other stellar debris. If passing comets have continued to deposit viruses and microorganisms on this planet, this may explain why ancient astronomers and civilizations attributed the periodic outbreak of plague to these stellar objects. Moreover, the subsequent evolution and extinction of life may have been directly impacted by the continued arrival of bacteria, archae, viruses, and their genes from space. On this picture the evolution of higher plants and animals, including humans, would be impacted by the insertion of genes from space, as well as recurrent episodes of pandemic disease. Near-culling pandemics and extinction episodes have in fact been preceded by or followed by inserts of viral genes into survivors who have transmitted these viral elements to their progeny, thereby impacting future evolution. Although ancient fears and reverence of comets may be coincidental with the outbreaks of pandemics, they may also have a factual basis.

From Biblical times great plagues and epidemics of disease have punctuated the history of Europe and Asia (Karlen 1996; McNeill 1977).  Although some of these events may have an explanation in terms of local causes and conditions, the more dramatic episodes on record invite more exotic explanations that may be linked to comets.

Figure 4. Comet of 1618 was associated with the coming "end of the world" and spreading death and disease.

The great plague of Athens that broke out in the year 430BC (Karlen 1996) is a strong candidate for a cometary cause.  The epidemic was localized geographically, and declined and disappeared as abruptly as it had started and no source could be discovered.  The description of the epidemic and its symptoms described by the historian Thucydides (2004), has defied identification with any known infectious disease.

Here's part of the story on the recent rabies outbreak in the Chelyabinsk region in Russia after the recent Chelyabinsk meteor comes to us from The Moscow Times.:

22 March 2013 | Issue 5093

The Moscow Times

A state of emergency has been declared in the Chelyabinsk region due to an outbreak of rabies among animals, the regional administration said in a statement.

In a decree posted on the administration's website, Ivan Feklin, the deputy governor of the region and head of the emergency response team for coordinating preventative measures for rabies, is tasked with confirming a complex set of measures to stabilize the region's rabies outbreak for the duration of the emergency regime.

According to the regional administration of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service, the region has been hit by a complicated epizootic situation with rabies in animals, Interfax reported.

Comets were looked at as 'messengers of the Gods' in ancient times, carrying the power of life and death as shared in this BBC story, The Comet's Tale. More on the rabies outbreak across the world below video.

In the meantime as this thread from Godlikeproductions points out, rabies outbreaks have been spreading across the world in the past several weeks. Much more here.

FIRE IN THE SKY: Major Solar System Disturbance - Newly Found Asteroid To Pass Within Moon’s Orbit On March 4, 2013 And Newly Discovered Comet May Be On Explosive Collision Course With Mars In October 2014?!

March 04, 2013 - SPACE - A newly found asteroid will pass just inside the orbit of the Moon, with its closest approach on March 4, 2013 at 07:35 UTC.

Newly Found Asteroid To Pass Within Moon’s Orbit On March 4, 2013.
Named 2013 EC, the asteroid is about the size of the space rock that exploded over Russia two and a half weeks ago, somewhere between 10-17 meters wide (the Russian meteorite is estimated to be about 15 meters wide when it entered Earth’s atmosphere). 2013 EC was discovered by the Mt. Lemmon Observatoryin Arizona on March 2. . There is no chance this asteroid will hit Earth.

2013 EC will come within 396,000 kilometers from Earth, (246,000 miles, or around 1.0 lunar distances, 0.0026 AU.

The Moon’s distance from the Earth varies between 363,104 km (225,622 miles) at perigee (closest) and 406,696 km (252,088 miles) at apogee (most distant point).

A newly found asteroid, 2013 EC can be seen in the lower left corner of the red box in this image.
Screen capture from Virtual Telescope webcast on 3/3/2013.
Gianluca Masi from the Virtual Telescope Project had a live view of the asteroid when it was about twice the distance of the Moon, and a replay of that webcast is available below.

“That we are finding all these asteroids recently does not mean that we are being visited by more asteroids,” Masi said during the webcast, “just that our ability to detect them has gotten so much better. Our technology has improved a lot over the past decades.”

Newly Discovered Comet May Be On Explosive Collision Course With Mars In October 2014.
There is an outside chance that a newly discovered comet might be on a collision course with Mars. Astronomers are still determining the trajectory of the comet, named C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring), but at the very least, it is going to come fairly close to the Red Planet in October of 2014. "Even if it doesn't impact it will look pretty good from Earth, and spectacular from Mars," wrote Australian amateur astronomer Ian Musgrave, "probably a magnitude -4 comet as seen from Mars's surface."
Simulation of the close approach of C/2013 A1 to Mars in Celestia using the latest info from the Minor Planet Center. Credit: Ian Musgrave/Astroblog.
The comet was discovered in the beginning of 2013 by comet-hunter Robert McNaught at the Siding Spring Observatory in New South Wales, Australia. According to a discussion on the IceInSpace amateur astronomy forum when the discovery was initially made, astronomers at the Catalina Sky Survey in Arizona looked back over their observations to find "prerecovery" images of the comet dating back to Dec. 8, 2012.

These observations placed the orbital trajectory of comet C/2013 A1 right through Mars orbit on Oct. 19, 2014. However, now after 74 days of observations, comet specialist Leonid Elenin notes that current calculations put the closest approach of the comet at a distance of 109,200 km, or 0.00073 AU from Mars in October 2014. That close pass has many wondering if any of the Mars orbiters might be able to acquire high-resolution images of the comet as is passes by.

Fragments of Shoemaker-Levy 9 on approach to Jupiter. Credit: NASA/HST.
But as Ian O'Neill from Discovery Space points out, since the comet has only been observed for 74 days (so far), so it's difficult for astronomers to forecast the comet's precise location in 20 months time. "Comet C/2013 A1 may fly past at a very safe distance of 0.008 AU (650,000 miles)," Ian wrote, "but to the other extreme, its orbital pass could put Mars directly in its path. At time of Mars close approach (or impact), the comet will be barreling along at a breakneck speed of 35 miles per second (126,000 miles per hour)."

Elenin said that since C/2013 A1 is a hyperbolic comet and moves in a retrograde orbit, its velocity with respect to the planet will be very high, approximately 56 km/s. "With the current estimate of the absolute magnitude of the nucleus M2 = 10.3, which might indicate the diameter up to 50 km, the energy of impact might reach the equivalent of staggering 2×10¹º megatons!" An impact of this magnitude would leave a crater 500 km across and 2 km deep, Elenin said.

While the massive Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 (15 km in diameter) that crashed into Jupiter in 1994 was spectacular as seen from Earth orbit by the Hubble Space Telescope, an event like C/2013 A1 slamming into Mars would be off the charts. Astronomers are certainly keeping an eye on this comet, and they will refine their measurements as more data comes in. You can see the orbital parameters available so far at JPL's Solar System Dynamics website. - PHYSORG.

‘Bluish’ Fireball Lights Up San Francisco Skies

On the day after the Russian meteor took the internet and the world by storm, a fireball was spotted lighting up the skies in San Francisco, California as well. Whether or not the San Francisco fireball was part of the meteor that struck the Ural's in Russia is not known at this time. From NBC Bay Area in San Francisco, California:

On a day that had a lot of people talking about meteorites and asteroids, a fireball of some sort was seen streaking across the Bay Area skies.

It was bluish in color and appeared to be heading straight to the ground, according to one viewer in Santa Clara.

Meteors are pieces of rock and metal from space that fall to Earth. They burn up as they go through our atmosphere. The burning is what causes the bright flash of light.

Candice Guruwaiya told us on Facebook she saw it in San Jose. "I was leaving Safeway on Branham and Snell when I saw it. It looked like it was headed for the Capital Auto Mall area. It was a bright green when it first appeared, then it went to a bright yellow. It was awesome!" Guruwaiya posted.

Cuban Fireball Bigger Than The Sun

The meteorite that fell on Cuba on Friday, the day after the meteorite that crashed into the Urals in Russia, was bigger than our sun, according to many witnesses. Whether or not the meteor in Cuba was related to the meteorite that struck Russia is unknown at this time.
An object fell from the sky over central Cuba on Thursday night and turned into a fireball “bigger than the sun” before it exploded, a Cuban TV channel reported Friday, citing eyewitnesses.

The object then turned into a fireball “bigger than the sun,” said the witnesses, adding that several minutes later they heard a loud explosion.

It remains unknown whether the reported phenomenon in Cuba is related to Friday’s meteor strike in central Russia, which set off a shockwave that shattered windows and left some 1,000 people injured.

FIRE IN THE SKY: Solar System Disturbances - Numerous Sightings Of Fireballs Or Fiery Celestial Objects Over Cuba, Canada, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, And Kazakhstan!

February 15, 2013 - SKY - Here are several of the latest reports of fireballs, meteorites, or cometary fragments seen in the skies across the globe over the last two days.

Strange "Fluorescent Greenish" Light Spotted Over Dashwood, Canada.
Dashwood residents are abuzz about the latest odd sighting in the area - but this time it wasn't a monkey. Brian Vike, a UFO researcher in Houston, B.C. said he received a report of a strange light from a resident on Feb. 6.

"I woke suddenly because my bedroom was lit up fluorescent greenish," the report said. "I went to the bathroom then to the window as the light faded away to nothing. I can't explain if it was coming from the ground or sky. It was very odd it was approximately over the highway in Dashwood right at Larkdown road."

Vike said the light could have come from a flare, but suggested it could have come from a meteor. If that's the case, it won't be unusual - at least, not this year. "I have received so many reports of meteors and fireballs this year it isn't funny," Vike said. "There has been just a stack of them from across Canada and the United States." Anyone who has information about this sighting or others can report it here. - Parksville Qualicum Beach News.

Celestial Body Explodes Over Cuba.
Residents of a locality ‘in the central region of Cuba said they had seen an object that fell from the sky and exploded with a great noise, which shook the houses of the place: it is learned from testimonies collected by local television. In service published this morning by Rodas, town in the province of Cienfuegos, witnesses described a very bright light that has come to have large size, comparable to that of a bus, before exploding in the sky. - RAI News 24.

Huge explosion in the sky in Cuba Meanwhile, also from Cuba has been reported in an explosion sky. In the central region of the island has seen an object that fell from the sky and exploded with a great noise, which shook the houses in the place, reports on local television. In a report released this morning by Rodas, town in the province of Cienfuegos, witnesses described a very bright light that has come to have large size, comparable to that of a bus, before exploding in the sky. Marcos Rodriguez, a resident in region, as defined by the issuer an expert, reported that “everything seems to indicate that it was a fireball, which is a fragment of stone and metal that enters the Earth’s atmosphere at high speed.” Experts are now examining the area for possible remains Rodas minerals falling from the sky, the TV station added. - Repubblica [Translated].

Enormous fireball Seen From Belgium, The Netherlands And Germany.

Initial Sighting Reports

13 February 2013 - O'Neill Keegan. Florennes, Namur, Belgium 22.20 CET

15 seconds duration (very very long!). Northwest direction, moving from left to right (fell straight down more than anything). Yellow/orange/red colour, very bright friction point. There were two separate fragmentations that shone brightly. The fireball was in an almost vertical drop +-75°. It was really impressive because of how long it took to get down. I confused it for a plane at first.
13 February 2013 - Melissa. Riethoven, The Netherlands 22:30 CET
20 seconds duration. Northwest to Southeast direction. Red colour with long white tail. I went outside the house to walk the dog. We immediately saw something bright and big in the sky. It was amazing!

© LunarMeteorite*Hunter / Google Earth.
13 February 2013 - Joe Lee. Friedrichsthal, Saarland, Germany 22:15 CET
5-10 seconds duration. Northwest to Southeast direction. First there was a short bright light that reminded me of lightning, than I saw it pass with an orange/yellow glow. I thought at first I was seeing a burning plane except for the object's speed. The center was as bright as the center of the sun... but smaller in size. I saw no parts falling off... just a fireball passing by. I was sitting in my living room, the lightning-like light got my attention and then I saw it passing by. As it was heading towards Ramstein AFB, I thought ther might be a fighter burning but that would have been smaller in size. I am still not sure what I actually saw but I thought maybe others saw it as well and wanted to report it.
13 February 2013 - Hylkema. Meppel, The Netherlands 22:30 CET
15 seconds duration. I was facing Southwest. Its direction: West to South. Fast moving white/red/orange light (fireball) with a long tail. It was as bright as the moon, but obviously much smaller.
13 February 2013 - Montie Davis. Siegen, Germany 22:40 CET
15-20 seconds duration. Southwest to Southeast. The fireball had orange flames. I would say it had candle-flame brightness. There was white explosive fragmentation. It traversed complete field of my view.
WATCH: Fireball over Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany.

Two Unidentified Objects Over Kazakhstan.
Early in the day, emergency officials in neighboring Kazakhstan said they were searching for two unidentified objects that reportedly fell in the country's Aktobe region. But no meteorite fragments had been found by Friday evening, local time, leading to speculation that if meteors had entered the Earth's atmosphere over the Central Asian country they had been vaporized before making impact. - RIANOVOSTI.

FIRE IN THE SKY: COMET OF THE CENTURY - PHYSICIST JAMES M. MCCANNEY SUGGESTS THAT COMET ISON IS BEING ACCOMPANIED BY 7 OTHER OBJECTS, AND THAT NASA IS COVERING UP THE INFORMATION?!

January 22, 2013 - SPACE - This just in... it is too early to confirm, but some initial data suggests that Comet C/2012/S1 has at least one companion, and possibly up to seven.

When something like this happens, one has to be very cautious, but after examining the data that I have seen, I would say that it appears to be real. Furthermore one of the possible companions appears to be at about two lunar distances (half a million miles) and has not formed a coma for some odd reason. If the object is orbiting the nucleus of the comet at that distance it implies that the nucleus of this comet is possibly as big or bigger than Earth.

Also, with companions we will be able to directly calculate the mass, and therefore the size of the comet nucleus using standard astronomical methods. NASA tier two scientists have already put their foot in their mouths with an estimate based on some geeee whiz bad science. As I have said before one of the biggest open lies at NASA is concerning the size of comet nuclei, always minimizing them to almost nothing and [then] trying to promote their incorrect dirty snowball comet model. We know they can directly measure comet nuclei with radio telescopes so why all the bad science and opiniated estimates?

Latest image of Comet ISON.
Normally no one would be able to contradict them because they hold the reigns of the radio telescopes, and who is to contradict them? But with companions, we use a simple astronomical formula and wala we have the mass of the nucleus and there is nothing NASA can do about that. With the recent interaction of this comet with Earth, while the comet was at the range of Jupiter's orbit, this would be the second indication that this is a whopper of a comet

NASA has been extremely active in damage control on this comet and just today issued a video clearly doing damage control. Why all the announcements, when the comet (according to NASA) will not even be visible until next November? Stay tuned folks this is getting reeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllll interesting. -Jim Mccanney [Edited for clarity].

2013: The Year of the Comets

Some ancient cultures referred to them as “the Menace of the Universe” and “the Harbinger of Doom.” Comets have almost universally been viewed by the ancients as messengers or omens carrying bad news from the gods.
In the midst of our busy lives it’s difficult to keep in mind that we reside on a ball that’s corkscrewing through space around a ball of gas called our sun, which is also sweeping through our galaxy.
The ancients didn’t have distractions like TVs and the Internet. They looked to the sky for clues and guidance for life on Earth, and comets brought mythology of angry gods and instilled fear in them.
Strangely, in more modern times, comets have been associated with actual dark events.
According to NASA:
Comets’ influence on cultures is not limited simply to tales of myth and legend, though. Comets throughout history have been blamed for some of history’s darkest times. In Switzerland, Halley’s Comet was blamed for earthquakes, illnesses, red rain, and even the births of two-headed animals.
The Romans recorded that a fiery comet marked the assassination of Julius Caesar, and another was blamed for the extreme bloodshed during the battle between Pompey and Caesar. In England, Halley’s Comet was blamed for bringing the Black Death. The Incas, in South America, even record a comet having foreshadowed Francisco Pizarro’s arrival just days before he brutally conquered them.
Comets and disaster became so intertwined that Pope Calixtus III even excommunicated Halley’s Comet as an instrument of the devil, and a meteorite, from a comet, became enshrined as one of the most venerated objects in all of Islam.
Although comets are not uncommon in our solar system, Great Comets only appear once a decade on average .  There’s is no major significance about the size of “Great Comets“, rather they are simply defined as comets that become exceptionally bright and can be seen by casual observers with the naked eye.  This usually has to do with their distance from Earth.
Comet types depicted as daggers
NASA image
So what are we to make of the possibility of two Great Comets flying by Earth in 2013?
Astronomers have discovered two new comets that are fast approaching our planet and have the potential to be Great Comets. One might be “bright enough to be seen in the day” and the other is projected to become “one of the brightest in history” and possibly “outshine the Moon“.
The first comet, named C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS), is expected to make its arrival in March 2013. According to astronomers, it will be “potentially visible to the naked eye low in the western horizon just after sunset” and also has the “potential that it may be visible during the day.”
Richard Wainscoat, an astronomer at the University of Hawaii who co-discovered the comet, claims there is no danger of collision with Earth but admits “since we don’t have a lot of data on it, we really don’t know the orbit well enough right now.”
The second comet, the one which could possibly outshine the Moon, was only just discovered this September and is called 2012 S1 (ISON). Astronomers predict “current orbital predictions indicate the comet will look brightest to us in the weeks just after its closest approach to the sun, on November 28, 2013.”
Comet ISON may be visible for the last two months of the year as well as early 2014 and is the more likely of the two to be a spectacular event:
The comet is already remarkably bright, given how far it is from the sun, astronomer Raminder Singh Samra said. What’s more, 2012 S1 seems to be following the path of the Great Comet of 1680, considered one of the most spectacular ever seen from Earth.
‘If it lives up to expectations, this comet may be one of the brightest in history,’ said Samra, of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, Canada. (Source)

This comet is considered to be larger than most at 3 kilometers wide (roughly 2 miles) adding to the anticipation of its arrival.  It, too, may be visible during the day according to astronomers.
The last Great Comet highly visible from Earth, Hale-Bopp, arrived 16 years ago in 1997. So we are long overdue considering the average of one-per-decade. Although very little major news occurred in 1997, the last 16 years have been perhaps the most tumultuous in human history from 9/11 and the war on terror to a devastating financial collapse, both of which have still not peaked.
Astronomers are cautious not to make wild predictions about approaching comets, always adding the caveat that they never really know how comets will react as they get closer to the sun. Yet, it does seem significant that 2013 may have two Great Comets.
Will one of them be a “Harbinger of Doom” and bring dark times with it? As the world braces for the end of the much discussed Mayan Calendar on December 21st, 2012, these comets only add more intrigue to cosmic conspiracies.
The authorities and media downplay “end of the world” talk which is probably the responsible thing to do to stave off panic. However, it’s increasingly difficult to know where to find the truth. And NASA isn’t exactly known for its honesty either, sometimes being referred to as “Never A Straight Answer”.
Even if we won’t get a straight answer from NASA, we should heed the advice they gave to their staff to be prepared to survive potential emergencies:
A major initiative has been placed on Family/Personal Preparedness for all NASA personnel. The NASA/Family Preparedness Program is designed to provide awareness, resources, and tools to the NASA Family (civil servants and contractors) to prepare for an emergency situation. The most important assets in the successful completion of NASA’s mission are our employees’ and their families. We are taking the steps to prepare our workforce, but it is your personal obligation to prepare yourself and your families for emergencies. (Source)

Contagious diseases caused by Comets…

In May 2010, the Journal of Cosmology published an article called "Comets and Contagion: Evolution and Diseases from Space." In the article, it mentioned that the “ill omen” and the plagues were always linked with the coming of comets in human history.

Indeed, is it superstitious or scientific to believe that the plague is brought by comets?

In the article, it mentioned that before the outbreak of the plagues, people saw the coming of the comet in these areas where the plagues took place.

For example, there were the great plagues in Libya, Egypt and Syria in the first century. At that time, a Roman poet Marcus Manilius described it as “death comes with those celestial torches.”

Besides, the Black Death, which was the most horrible plague in history, killed two-thirds of people in Europe and Asia in 14 century. A comet also appeared at that time.

Another example, when the Spanish invaded the Maya who lived in Central America in 1519, there were the war and the plague that killed ten million people. A year before the arriving of the Spanish, there was a comet appeared in the sky where Maya lived. This incident is clearly recorded in Mayan’s history.

Moreover, a recent incident was the pandemic happened in Spain in 1918. This pandemic killed twenty five million to forty million people. Indeed, the Halley's Cometappeared in 1910. And the Earth once passed through the tail of the Halley’s Comet.

In the article, it mentioned that some of these bacteria or virus that caused the plagues or diseases live in an anaerobic environment. Besides, they can survive under an extreme low temperature. Even though they are frozen for a long period of time, they can still survive. So, these bacteria or virus may live on the surface of the comet where the temperature is extreme low and the oxygen is lacking.

When such comet approaches the sun, the ice on the surface will melt. Followed by its tail, the bacteria and virus in the universe which used to hide in the ice will stay at its orbit.
When the Earth passes through the orbit of the comet, these unknown bacteria and virus will infect the creatures or humans on the Earth.

It is because the bodies of the creatures or humans living on the Earth are defenseless towards these bacteria or virus coming from the universe.

So, the deadly plague may take place. And it will stop when most of the people who survive can produce the antibodies themselves.

On September 11, 2011, the Comet Elenin will reach the perihelion. At that time, it is possible for us to see this comet with our own eyes.

On September 25, 2011, the Comet Elenin will align with the Earth and the sun, where Elenin will be in the middle.

On November 3, 2011, the Earth will pass through the tail of the Comet Elenin.
Indeed, when the Earth passes through the tail of the Comet Elenin, will these deadly bacteria and virus remain on the Earth?

Will history repeat itself like in the 14 century, which a new virus will appear and kill two-thirds of the world’s population like the Black Death?

Finally, the earliest year for the appearance of the Black Death in 14 century is 1346.
The difference between 2012 and 1346 is 666 years...!
