Martial Law in America? Yes, they can!

(Jan 26) Black Hawk choppers soared into the skies in downtown Miami, Wednesday night. The joint military training exercise also involved local police. The exercises, which began Tuesday night, are being executed to meet requirements, which include upcoming overseas missions and ensuring their equipment is in good working order. (Source)

(Jan 19) On Thursday, the Ohio National Guard 52nd Civil Support Unit descended upon the sleepy berg of Portsmouth to run a mock disaster drill. WSAZ reported: “The make-believe scenario is timely. Two school employees who are disgruntled over the government’s interpretation of the Second Amendment, plot to use chemical, biological and radiological agents against members of the local community.” (Source)

The following was taken from an email to the Editor of WND, written by someone who lived in Los Angeles during the Watts riots, from August 11 to 17, 1965. (Source) The six-day riot resulted in 34 deaths, 1,032 injuries, 3,438 arrests, and over $40 million in property damage. It was the most severe riot in the city’s history until the Los Angeles riots of 1992. (Source)

“I will never forget! Our home was across the street from a junior high school the national guard used to house soldiers and that also was used as a fortress. The military came in on a Saturday night just about dusk. There were tanks rolling up and down our street with bull horns shouting out “You are under martial law. You have no rights. You must remain in your houses. Anyone found on the street will be shot! Repeat, you will be shot if you are found on the street.”

The next morning, Sunday, we got dressed to attend Mass. (We were allowed to leave our homes in daylight.). There were machine guns mounted on every third window sill in the school across the street and armed guards around the campus. There were police cars driving all around and could stop and detain anyone for any reason. My 7-year-old brother went to the market to purchase milk and was stopped by the police demanding to know what was in the paper bag. He showed them that it was a purchased carton of milk and they let him go.

Joseph, this is what the government can do. It happened fast and they had enough fire power to kill us all. They could have easily come house to house and taken whatever they wanted to take and done whatever they wanted to do – all of our rights were suspended. Had they shot and killed anyone for fun there would be no legal recourse.”

Will America revolt over gun confiscation? WND published a disturbing poll last week on this subject. It showed the following:

“The seeds of a tyrannical government are present in the United States, with a citizenry happy with a heavily armed law enforcement presence and a disbelief that their government could do anything that would make them want to revolt.”

“America is largely satisfied with the buildup of military-style equipment and armaments by local law enforcement agencies around the country, as 73 percent said they believe these local and state police agencies should possess such equipment.”
