Martial Law in America? Yes, they can!

(Jan 26) Black Hawk choppers soared into the skies in downtown Miami, Wednesday night. The joint military training exercise also involved local police. The exercises, which began Tuesday night, are being executed to meet requirements, which include upcoming overseas missions and ensuring their equipment is in good working order. (Source)

(Jan 19) On Thursday, the Ohio National Guard 52nd Civil Support Unit descended upon the sleepy berg of Portsmouth to run a mock disaster drill. WSAZ reported: “The make-believe scenario is timely. Two school employees who are disgruntled over the government’s interpretation of the Second Amendment, plot to use chemical, biological and radiological agents against members of the local community.” (Source)

(Source) The six-day riot resulted in 34 deaths, 1,032 injuries, 3,438 arrests, and over $40 million in property damage. “I will never forget! Our home was across the street from a junior high school the national guard used to house soldiers and that also was used as a fortress. The military came in on a Saturday night just about dusk. There were tanks rolling up and down our street with bull horns shouting out “You are under martial law. You have no rights. The next morning, Sunday, we got dressed to attend Mass. (We were allowed to leave our homes in daylight.). There were machine guns mounted on every third window sill in the school across the street and armed guards around the campus. There were police cars driving all around and could stop and detain anyone for any reason. My 7-year-old brother went to the market to purchase milk and was stopped by the police demanding to know what was in the paper bag. He showed them that it was a purchased carton of milk and they let him go.

Joseph, this is what the government can do. It happened fast and they had enough fire power to kill us all. They could have easily come house to house and taken whatever they wanted to take and done whatever they wanted to do – all of our rights were suspended. Had they shot and killed anyone for fun there would be no legal recourse.”

Sudden Insatiable Demand for Gasoline Could Trigger Martial Law in NYCmar

Over 75% of all filling stations in the city remain inoperable as a new storm system engulfs the region limiting capabilities of the entire supply chain causing chaos at the pumps and elsewhere.

NEW YORK CITY — I’m sure you have all heard by now that people on Craigslist are selling gas for over $8 a gallon, and are even offering sex or precious metals for it. However, t this is not a joke, nor is it funny as things have turned for the worse.

Now, 10 days after hurricane Sandy struck residents and officials have become uneasy as New York city has officially entered a Mad Max-like era that is infringing on martial law.

Hundreds of gas stations citywide remain without fuel as residents mettles are tested in what some would say is the worst fuel and weather crisis in US history.

AAA Spokesman Michael Green said that even though power has been restored to many stations, the real issue lies with the distribution network. “This week, it is shifting more to being a supply-system problem: getting gasoline from storage to distribution terminals to gas stations to the car you drive,” he said. Nine out of 57 petroleum terminals impacted by the hurricane remain closed according to federal energy officials. Of those nine, seven are located in New Jersey, one in Brooklyn and one on Long Island.

National Guard troops remain active in the region as more equipment is being brought in against all weather conditions.

Fuel supplies are now so limited that fears of martial law echo amongst residents as crime and violence are likely to increase in coming days. Many businesses and employees have already been effected from the crisis.

Yahoo News reported, “Overall, about 700,000 people remain without electricity in the region, according to the latest estimate from FEMA. The nor’easter knocked out power to an additional 40,000 people Wednesday night.” According to GasBuddy.com’s Fuel Shortage Tracker, things are looking pretty grim in and around New York City on the fuel front, not to mention the snow storm moving through now adding 200,000 more power outages to the region. Currently over 20,000 NYC public housing residents still remain without power raising questions about how people will stay warm.

Meanwhile Governor Andrew Cuomo stated Thursday in an announcement to the press that this storm will likely cost the state of New York over $33 billion.

One of our readers, Rwolf, shared the following insightful analysis – a nice summary what we’ve shared in the past. The U.S. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Obama signed 12-31-11 is similar to Hitler’s 1933 fascist laws the SS and Gestapo used to target persons in Germany for arrest, imprisonment and execution without probable cause; and confiscate millions of dollars of property.Hitler used his laws to suspend Parliament and the Supreme Court insuring his laws could not be rescinded.

Will Obama use NDAA To Arrest State Representatives and State Militias that support Secession? Could Obama use NDAA To Arrest Secessionists on the Premise members are Militants and Belligerents that pose a threat to National Security?

• During the Obama Administration’s recent request for a (stay) to stop U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest from blocking enforcement of vague NDAA provisions, the administration stated that under (NDAA) the President had authorization to lock up belligerents indefinitely. Yet, the Transparent House never clarified what constitutes a (belligerent); or militant; or what belligerent activities (directly aligned with a militant) to order a belligerent’s arrest or indefinite detention; or what is against the good of America.
• Pres. Obama could use NDAA provisions to order U.S. Military Forces to round up without evidence, millions of Americans including Secessionists and Militias by alleging they are belligerents or a threat to National Security. Many observers believe Obama intends to extend NDAA to imprison U.S. Citizens in Indefinite Detention not involved with or associated with enemy forces.

Under vague provisions of NDAA, the President could accuse anyone of being (directly aligned with militants by way of any political or other association; activity, statement, writing or communication with an individual or group government deemed (militant) to arrest and indefinite detention.

• Sections of NDAA 2012 are so broad, it appears U.S. Government or the President could (retroactively) deem an American’s past 1st Amendment activities prior to passage of 2012 NDAA—supported hostilities, terrorism or (Belligerents) to order the arrest and Indefinite Detention of any U.S. Citizen, writer, group or organization.
• Under NDAA 2012 it should be expected that indefinitely detained U.S. Citizens not involved in terrorism or hostile activities, not given Miranda Warnings when interrogated, not allowed legal counsel or habeas corpus may be prosecuted for non-terrorist (ordinary crimes) because of their (alleged admissions) while held in Indefinite Detention.

• Hitler included similar provisions in his fascist (Discriminatory Decrees signed February 28, 1933). Almost immediately after the German Parliament passed Hitler’s laws, the Reich Government ordered the arrest of German Citizens and confiscated their guns without probable cause or evidence; delegated powers to German Police and other authorities to arrest anyone Nazi authorities claimed attempted or incited public unrest: arrested among others were outspoken Germans, writers, journalists, peaceful protestors and artists.
• NDAA 2012, like Hitler’s 1933 Discriminatory Decrees enforces censorship, refers to the Patriot Act e.g. warrant-less searches of private property and forfeiture of property from persons not charged with crime.Under the Patriot Act innocent property owners may be barred by government knowing the evidence federal government uses to forfeit their property.
• The Federal Government may use secret witnesses and informants to cause arrests and civil asset forfeiture of Americans’ property. Witness(s) and informants may be paid up to 50% of assets forfeited.
• Provisions in NDAA 2012 keep the door open for corrupt U.S. police, government agents and provocateurs which there are many, to falsify reports and statements to target any American, group or organization for arrest, indefinite detention, complete disappearance; civil asset forfeiture of their property.
